Cyprus University of Technology signs scholarship agreement with Sievert Larsson Foundation
On October 29, 2026, the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) signed a scholarship agreement with the Sievert Larsson Scholarship Foundation. The deal, formalized by CUT Rector Professor Panagiotis Zaphiris and Foundation General Director Christos Papoutsas, provides €20,000 in total funding to support undergraduate students.
The agreement establishes 20 individual scholarships of €1,000 each. These grants are intended to support students from low-income families who demonstrate high academic performance. To be eligible, applicants must have successfully completed their first year of study, covering two academic semesters, and must maintain a minimum grade point average of 7.5.
Selection of the recipients will be based primarily on socio-economic criteria, with a secondary goal of ensuring gender balance among the awardees. The initiative aims to alleviate financial burdens for high-achieving students across various departments of the university, facilitating the continuation of their academic programs.
