Pafos FC faces injury concerns following defeat to Twente

Pafos FC suffered a 1-3 defeat against Twente in Enschede on November 5, 2026. Defender David Luiz, who spoke to the media following the match, attributed the loss to missed opportunities and a red card shown to Lele, which hampered the team’s defensive efforts. Despite the result, Luiz stated that the team remains committed to fighting for qualification in their remaining fixtures.

Following the match, additional concerns emerged regarding the squad's physical condition. David Luiz was observed walking with a limp at the Munscher airport due to a clash with Weghorst, making his participation in the upcoming match against Omonia 29th of May uncertain. Furthermore, the club is monitoring the status of injured players Pepe, Goldar, Ngamaleu, and Biel, who did not travel to the Netherlands. Reports from within the team indicate it is unlikely any of these players will be available for selection in the immediate future.
