Cyprus Deputy Ministry of Culture launches literary translation grant scheme

The Deputy Ministry of Culture of Cyprus, through its Department of Contemporary Culture, has announced a grant scheme aimed at supporting the translation and circulation of literary works between the Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot communities. This initiative, which has been in operation since 2010, serves as a long-standing effort to foster mutual understanding between the two communities by promoting significant works of Cypriot literature.

The project recognizes the multilingual literary tradition of the island and seeks to highlight the shared memories and experiences of both communities.
