Cyprus and Vietnam host bilateral trade and investment forum
On Friday, November 6, 2026, the Cyprus–Vietnam Two-Way Trade & Investment Forum was held at the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) in Nicosia. The event brought together government officials, diplomatic representatives, business leaders, and research organizations to explore new investment opportunities and enhance bilateral economic cooperation between the two nations.
Cyprus Minister of Energy, Commerce and Industry, Michael Damianos, addressed the forum, emphasizing the importance of building trade and investment ties with dynamic Asian markets. The Ambassador of Vietnam, Nguyen Phuong Anh, highlighted the strategic potential for business expansion, particularly by leveraging the strengthened relationship between the European Union and Vietnam. The discussions focused on sectors of high added value and the necessity of establishing concrete partnerships to facilitate future growth.
This forum serves as a platform to deepen ties beyond geographical distance. While details on specific signed agreements remain limited in initial reports, the dialogue between the CCCI and the Vietnamese delegation reflects a broader push by Cyprus to expand its commercial outreach into Asian markets through international diplomatic cooperation.
