Odysseas Michaelides mourns the passing of his father

Philippos Michaelides, the father of Odysseas Michaelides, the leader of the ALMA Movement, passed away on November 7, 2026. The news was shared publicly by Member of Parliament Irene Charalambidou, who expressed her condolences to her parliamentary colleague during this period of mourning.

In a personal tribute, Odysseas Michaelides remembered his father as a beacon of love, a teacher, and a protector. He noted that his father had instilled values of honesty and dedication to public service in his children and grandchildren. According to his son, Philippos Michaelides was one week away from his 86th birthday when he passed away following a period of illness. Odysseas Michaelides also reflected on his father's reunion with his late wife, stating that his father had sought release from his suffering.
