Omonia prepares for Anorthosis clash following Europa League loss

Omonia Nicosia is set to face Anorthosis today, November 8, at 16:00 in an away match for the 9th round of the Cypriot championship. The team, led by coach Henning Berg, aims to bounce back following their recent European defeat against NEC Nijmegen. Berg emphasized the importance of maintaining focus and performance consistency to stay at the top of the league standings before the upcoming international break.

Managerial challenges include managing player fatigue and addressing specific absences. The squad for the match at the Antonis Papadopoulos Stadium will be without Andronikos Kakoullis, Jure Balkovec, Negu, and Tanase. While Berg acknowledged that the European experience is vital for the club's development, he stressed the need to improve defensive concentration to avoid errors like those seen in their last match. The team is determined to secure three points despite the tactical difficulties posed by their opponents.
