75-year-old woman dies after falling into ravine while mushroom picking

A 75-year-old woman, identified as Militsa Fanti from Nicosia, died on Saturday, November 7, 2026, following a fatal accident in the Morphou district. The incident occurred at approximately 3:50 p.m. while the victim was foraging for mushrooms in a local village with a relative. Under circumstances currently being investigated by local authorities, Fanti fell into a ravine and sustained a serious head injury.
