Apoel celebrates 100 years of history
On November 8, 2026, the Cypriot sports club Apoel marks its 100th anniversary since its founding in 1926. To commemorate this milestone, the club unveiled a special anniversary kit featuring a combination of its traditional blue and yellow colors with imperial blue and gold, displaying a monochromatic golden emblem. The celebrations culminate in a football match against Aris Limassol at the GSP Stadium, for which the club announced a complete sell-out of tickets.
Throughout the day, supporters organized massive marches in Nicosia, filling the streets with chants and flares. The club’s Academy students also participated by creating a human formation of the number "100" on the pitch. The Cypriot Football Association (KOP) and the Cyprus Basketball Federation issued official statements honoring the club, noting its legacy of 29 league titles, 21 cups, and 15 Super Cups since becoming a founding member of the KOP in 1934. The event serves as a historic moment for the organization, with festivities taking place inside and around the stadium to honor both the club's past and its future generation.
