Contestant surprises coaches with vocal resemblance on The Voice

During the latest episode of the talent show "The Voice" aired on November 7, 2026, 41-year-old Pantelis Glykys from Pissouri, Limassol, made a significant impression on the coaches. Performing the song "Madame," originally by Panos Mouzourakis and Pantelis Abazis, Glykys displayed a vocal timbre remarkably similar to that of coach Panos Mouzourakis. His performance was so convincing that all four judges turned their chairs, acknowledging his talent.

Following the blind audition, Panos Mouzourakis joked that he had long feared artificial intelligence would replicate his voice, only for a real contestant to do so. At the suggestion of the other judges, Mouzourakis joined the Cypriot contestant on stage for a spontaneous duet of "Madame." Despite interest from all four coaches, Glykys ultimately chose to join the team of Panos Mouzourakis for the remainder of the competition.
