Cyprus weather forecast for June 22–27
The Cyprus Department of Meteorology reports that seasonal low pressure is currently affecting the region. On June 22 and 23, weather conditions remain mostly clear, though afternoon clouds are expected to bring isolated rain or thunderstorms, primarily in the mountains and inland areas. Daily maximum temperatures are projected to reach 37°C inland, 32°C in coastal areas, 29°C along the west coast, and 26°C in the mountains, which is approximately 2 to 3 degrees above the seasonal average. Winds will range from light to moderate, intensifying to strong (4–5 Beaufort) on the coasts by the afternoon. Nighttime temperatures will drop to approximately 22°C in inland and coastal areas, and 16°C in the higher mountains. Meteorologist Andreas Chrysanthou stated that this stability will persist through Thursday, with no significant temperature shifts expected, though potential heat waves are anticipated by late June or early July. There is a slight discrepancy in overnight minimum projections, with some reports citing 19°C inland and 21°C on the coasts compared to the official 22°C estimate.
