Weather forecast for Cyprus: weak low pressure and isolated thunderstorms
A weak low-pressure system and unstable air mass are currently affecting the region. Following the dissipation of morning low clouds and localized fog, the weather will be mainly clear, with increased cloud cover developing in the afternoon. These conditions are expected to result in isolated rain and thunderstorms, primarily in the mountains, inland, and southeastern regions, with a possibility of hail. Winds will generally blow at 3 to 4 Beaufort, occasionally reaching 5 Beaufort in coastal areas. Daytime temperatures are forecast to range between 33 and 34 degrees Celsius inland, around 27 to 30 degrees Celsius on the coasts, and approximately 25 degrees Celsius in the higher mountains. Nighttime temperatures will drop to between 17 and 20 degrees Celsius inland and on the coast, and 15 to 16 degrees Celsius in the mountains. Similar unsettled weather, including afternoon thunderstorms, is expected to continue through Tuesday. Coastal areas may experience sea breezes, while higher elevations will see the most significant cloud development.
