Cyprus Film Days 2026 children and youth section announced

The International Festival Cyprus Film Days 2026 will host its children and youth section from April 17 to April 25. Screenings and workshops are scheduled to take place at the Rialto Theatre in Limassol and K Cineplex Prime in Nicosia. Under the artistic direction of filmmaker Athina Xenidou, the program features international award-winning films alongside hands-on workshops covering screenwriting, casting, acting, and scene production. A key component is the 3rd edition of the National Short Film Competition for Children and Youth. Participation in the competition is open to primary, secondary, and high school students, as well as young creators up to 24 years old. Official approval from the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth is required for student participation. All scheduled workshops will be hosted specifically at K Cineplex Prime.
