Andy Robertson to depart Liverpool at the end of the 2025-26 season
Liverpool Football Club has officially confirmed that Scottish defender Andy Robertson will leave the team at the conclusion of the 2025-26 season upon the expiration of his contract. Robertson joined the club from Hull City in 2017 and has since made 373 appearances, recording 13 goals and 69 assists. During his nine-year tenure at Anfield, he played a key role in winning multiple major trophies, including the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, and Community Shield. His departure follows a similar announcement regarding Mohamed Salah, marking the end of a significant era for the club under the legacies established by Jurgen Klopp and continued by Arne Slot. The club has officially labeled the 32-year-old as a club legend. Despite the announcement, Robertson remains focused on finishing the current season with the team before his departure. Reports indicate he is currently exploring his next career steps after a long career that also included spells at Queen's Park, Dundee United, and Hull City.
