Recent arrests in Paphos following separate incidents
Paphos authorities have reported two separate criminal cases involving arrests this past weekend. In the first incident, a 22-year-old man was arrested on Saturday night after police stopped his vehicle, which lacked a front license plate and had tinted windows. Officers discovered two knives, a wooden club, hunting cartridges, and a magazine containing military ammunition in the vehicle, along with an additional military cartridge on the suspect. The Paphos district court remanded him in custody for one day. In a second, unrelated case, a 37-year-old woman was arrested following an alleged burglary at a warehouse in Geroskipou. Police intercepted her vehicle after a 57-year-old witness reported a break-in, and officers discovered burglary tools, a knife, a wooden club, and a tablet in her possession. The district court issued a four-day remand order for the woman. Both cases are currently under investigation by the Paphos criminal investigation department.
