A formal complaint has been filed against Larnaca General Hospital following an incident where a newborn allegedly suffered burns to its legs. The mother of the infant claims that the burns occurred when hospital staff placed the baby into hot water during a bathing session. Due to the severity of the injuries, the newborn was transferred to Makarios Hospital in Nicosia, where the child is currently receiving medical treatment. State Health Services Organisation (OKYpY) spokesperson Charalambos Charilaou confirmed that the agency is conducting an official investigation into the matter.
