APOEL signs non-disclosure agreement with prospective investor Savvas Liasis
APOEL football club has officially confirmed the signing of a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) with a prospective investor to discuss potential administrative involvement. Media reports have identified the Cypriot businessman Savvas Liasis as the party currently in negotiations. Liasis, who has a 25-year career in restructuring and investment, previously served as CEO of EBI and is a co-founder of ECM Partners. Club spokesperson Nektarios Petevinos clarified that while the NDA marks a formal step, the discussions remain at an early, non-binding stage. He explicitly denied circulating rumors regarding specific ownership percentages or finalized deals. The club is facing significant financial pressure, and current president Haris Photiou stated that the debt has not increased during the last two months of his administration. The NDA allows for a due diligence process, where Liasis's team will evaluate the company's financial status and obligations. Official updates will only be provided when a substantial development occurs that moves beyond the confidential framework.
