Recent fire incidents and safety warnings across Cyprus
On May 15, 2026, a fire broke out in an apartment in the Agios Eleftherios area of Latsia, with emergency services and two ambulances responding to the scene. Additionally, on May 14, a fire occurred at the Lemonies location in Lythrodontas, threatening the state forest; it was contained by 14 forest department personnel within 13 minutes.
