Recent arrests in Limassol concerning theft and assault cases
Limassol police have made two separate sets of arrests recently. First, a 45-year-old resident was arrested on May 13th regarding four cases of burglary and theft committed between October 2021 and August 2024. In a separate incident, three individuals aged 20, 22, and 24 were arrested for the stabbing and assault of a 20-year-old man. The victim reported that at approximately 1:00 AM on Sunday, a vehicle stopped next to him while he was walking, and three people attacked him with a knife before fleeing. The victim remains in the Limassol General Hospital with lung contusions and abdominal injuries, though his condition is stable. Suspects claim the victim was in a vehicle rather than walking, while authorities are still searching for two additional persons and the escape vehicle. Both cases are currently under investigation by the Limassol CID.
