Violent brawl in Limassol results in five arrests and injuries

A violent altercation involving approximately 20 people occurred around 1:00 AM in a pub in Ypsonas, Limassol. The incident began as a verbal dispute between four individuals inside the establishment before escalating into a physical confrontation involving weapons, including knives and sticks. Reinforcements were called to the scene, significantly increasing the number of participants. Five people were injured during the clash and required hospital treatment; four were discharged after receiving first aid, while a 29-year-old remains under observation. Police arrested five suspects, aged between 25 and 31, who were remanded in custody for six days by the Limassol District Court. Authorities are currently searching for approximately 15 additional individuals suspected of involvement. While some reports initially suggested a random attack on a 20-year-old, police investigations confirmed the event was a larger organized brawl between groups including Greek Cypriots and Indian nationals.
