Annita Dimitriou comments on Cyprus issue and political stability

DISY President Annita Dimitriou has reaffirmed that the Cyprus issue remains the party's top priority, citing reports from President Nikos Christodoulides about expected serious developments. During an address at the 37th General Assembly of the Cyprus Shipping Chamber in Limassol, she warned against the rise of toxic political rhetoric, populism, and polarization, arguing that such phenomena cause economic damage. In a separate interview with SKAI Greece, she discussed geopolitical challenges, including Turkish assertions and the need for a multifaceted foreign policy to strengthen Cyprus's defense. Meanwhile, reports suggest underlying political maneuvering regarding potential post-election alliances between DISY and DIKO, despite official party denials of such cooperation.
