Delivery drivers attacked by a group in Paphos

Two food delivery drivers, aged 21 and 22, reported being assaulted by a group of masked individuals in Paphos on Saturday night, May 9. The victims stated they were first attacked between 9pm and 9.30pm with stones, sticks, and bottles, while one perpetrator allegedly brandished a knife. The drivers abandoned their motorcycles, which were subsequently damaged, and had a food order stolen. Around 10.30pm the same evening, they were attacked a second time by the same group in a nearby area. The victims filed a report with the police shortly after midnight on Sunday, May 10. The 22-year-old sustained a leg injury and received medical treatment at Paphos General Hospital. Local media reports suggest these incidents are part of a wider trend of attacks on delivery personnel in the region. The Paphos Criminal Investigation Department is currently investigating the case.
