Delivery drivers report increased attacks and robberies in Paphos

Food delivery drivers operating in the Old Town area of Paphos have reported a surge in organized attacks, thefts, and vandalism. According to reports shared by Road ReportCY, groups of youths are allegedly using fake orders to lure delivery personnel into traps. Upon arrival, the drivers face physical assaults and the theft of food, cash, and equipment, including motorcycle helmets. Victims describe the situation as uncontrollable, noting that these incidents occur almost every weekend. Furthermore, drivers claim that their motorcycles parked in the area are frequently subjected to systematic damage. Despite repeated complaints to the police, delivery workers allege that there has been no effective intervention from the authorities. The reports highlight a growing climate of insecurity among local couriers.
