Cyprus announces voter statistics and polling stations for the 2026 elections

The General Returning Officer of Cyprus has released official data for the upcoming 2026 legislative and Maronite representative elections. There are a total of 568,587 registered voters, with the Nicosia district having the largest share at 198,553. The registry includes 859 Turkish Cypriots residing in the government-controlled areas. Additionally, 595 enclaved persons, specifically 335 in Kyrenia and 260 in Famagusta, hold the right to vote but are counted separately from the main register. The electoral process will utilize 1,217 polling stations across all districts. Specific locations have been designated for the election of the Maronite representative in Nicosia, Larnaca, Famagusta, Limassol, and Paphos provinces. The administration has also noted restrictions regarding the publication of polling data in accordance with electoral laws.
