AEL scouting representatives meet with AEK Athens officials

Nikos Englezou, head of the AEL scouting department, and Marios Zachariou, technical director of the academy, visited Athens for a three-day meeting series. The representatives held discussions with AEK Athens technical director Giorgos Georgiadis and Thanos Papantoniou, the club's Head of Academy Football Operations. The primary objective of these meetings was to exchange ideas and establish a foundation for potential future collaboration between the two football clubs. AEL officials stated that this trip is part of a broader strategy to expand their network of partnerships with European teams. The stated goal of these efforts is to promote the development and progression of players within the AEL youth academy. Following the meetings, the AEL representatives expressed their gratitude to the AEK staff for their hospitality and willingness to cooperate.
