Groom arrested for fatal shooting of his wife at wedding reception in Brazil

A 55-year-old man, identified as Daniel Barbosa Marinho, allegedly shot and killed his 34-year-old wife, Najylla Duenas Nascimento, during their wedding reception in Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil. The incident occurred following a verbal argument between the couple that escalated rapidly. Reports indicate that Marinho, who is described as either a local police officer or a private security guard, used his firearm to shoot his spouse. Witnesses stated that the perpetrator briefly left the scene after the initial shots and returned shortly after to shoot her again in front of guests. The victim, who was a mother of three from a previous relationship, died from her injuries. Family members present at the venue reportedly attempted to shield children from the violence. Marinho was arrested by local authorities shortly after the incident and is currently being held as a suspect in a femicide investigation.
