Copenhagen Group conference on sports integrity held in Nicosia
The 10th Copenhagen Group conference, focused on sports integrity and the fight against match-fixing, took place on May 5 and 6 in Nicosia, Cyprus. This marked the first time the event was hosted in Cyprus. The conference brought together representatives from 37 countries, with 19 participants attending in person and others joining virtually. Key organizations, including UEFA, Sportradar, and The Guardian, participated in the event. Sessions centered on modern challenges in sports integrity, match-fixing, technological advancements, and new investigation tools. Discussions also highlighted the necessity of international cooperation and education in the sector. The event was organized by the Cyprus Committee of Ethics and Sports Protection. Participants reportedly acknowledged the organizational standards of the host committee.
