Cyprus qualifies for the Eurovision 2026 grand final
On Thursday, May 14, 2026, the second semi-final of the 70th Eurovision Song Contest took place at the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna. Antigoni Buxton represented Cyprus with the song 'Jalla' and successfully secured a spot in the grand final scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2026. The ten countries that qualified from the second semi-final were Bulgaria, Ukraine, Norway, Australia, Romania, Malta, Cyprus, Albania, Denmark, and the Czech Republic. The performance of the Cypriot entry featured choreography involving white scarves and a table, incorporating elements of the Cypriot dialect. The five countries that failed to qualify were Azerbaijan, Luxembourg, Armenia, Switzerland, and Latvia. France, the United Kingdom, and the host nation, Austria, qualified directly for the final.
