Eurovision 2026 grand final taking place in Vienna
The 70th Eurovision Song Contest 2026 grand final is being held today, May 16, 2026, in Vienna. A total of 25 countries are competing for the trophy. Greece, represented by Akylas with the song 'Ferto', will perform 6th, while Cyprus, represented by Antigoni Buxton with 'JALLA', will perform 21st. The event is marked by controversy as broadcasters from Spain, the Netherlands, Ireland, Iceland, and Slovenia have boycotted the contest due to Israel's participation amid the conflict in Gaza. New televoting rules now allow viewers to cast up to 10 votes starting from the beginning of the competitive performances. While some observers noted minor vocal issues during Antigoni's semi-final performance, both Greek and Cypriot delegations remain optimistic. National juries have already cast their votes during the Friday jury show to determine 50% of the final score. The event will be broadcast live at 22:00 local time on networks including RIK1 in Cyprus and ERT1 in Greece.
