Eurovision 2026 update: Akylas qualifies despite injury

Following his performance, the singer reported suffering a back strain caused by jumping in excitement after learning of his qualification. Despite the injury, which required him to cancel some promotional activities like a photoshoot, Akylas confirmed he will be ready for the final on Saturday, May 16. Meanwhile, Cyprus, represented by Antigoni with the song 'Jalla', is scheduled to compete in the second semi-final on Thursday, May 14. Bookmakers currently rank Greece second overall, while Finland remains the frontrunner to win the competition. The grand final will feature 25 participating countries, including the Big Four and the host nation, Austria.
