Cyprus betting market records significant growth in 2025

The National Betting Authority of Cyprus reported that the betting sector expanded throughout the fourth quarter of 2025, reaching €395.5 million in gross revenue. This represents a 22 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024. For the full year of 2025, total gross revenue amounted to €1.33 billion, an 8 percent annual growth. Class B (online) operators generated €301.5 million in the fourth quarter, while Class A (land-based) premises accounted for €94.1 million. Player payouts across both categories totaled €348.2 million for the quarter, marking a 25 percent increase. Additionally, the number of licensed Class A premises rose to 467, with 1,556 employees reported. While Class A revenues saw a 9 percent year-on-year increase, Class B experienced a higher growth rate of 27 percent. The total annual player payouts reached €1.17 billion for 2025.
