Cyprus 2026 legislative elections: Overseas polling stations and accessibility measures
The Office of the General Commissioner of Elections of Cyprus has announced plans for the 2026 legislative elections. Voting centers will operate in Greece, the United Kingdom, and Belgium. In Greece, voting will take place in Athens at the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus on Xenophontos Street and in Thessaloniki at the 2nd General High School on Iktinou Street from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break at noon. In London, two stations will be open: one at the High Commission on St. James's Square and another at the Cyprus Community Center in Wood Green, operating from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a 30-minute break at noon. The Brussels station will be located at the Permanent Representation of Cyprus to the EU, open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a one-hour break at noon. Special accessibility measures for wheelchair users have been implemented in collaboration with the Cyprus Paraplegic Association (OPAK). Registered OPAK members will receive assistance automatically, while non-members must contact the Ministry of Interior via email at electoralroll@moi.gov.cy or by fax at 22 678 486 to request accommodations, providing their name and ID number.
