First cross-border electronic prescription processed between Greece and Cyprus

For the first time, a Greek electronic prescription was successfully processed at a pharmacy in Limassol, Cyprus, utilizing the European MyHealth@EU system. This development is the result of coordinated efforts by the National Authority of eHealth (EAHY) in Cyprus and the Greek eHealth and Social Insurance Agency (IDIKA). In addition to electronic prescriptions, a patient summary service has been launched to allow healthcare professionals access to essential patient data. This system is designed to facilitate continuity of care for citizens traveling between the two countries. Currently, cross-border health services are operational in 17 European Union member states. Cyprus has established connections with nine countries. Full two-way functionality for both prescriptions and patient summaries is now active between Cyprus, Greece, Spain, and Croatia. Other countries, such as Luxembourg and Estonia, provide two-way access specifically for patient summaries.
