Cypriot labor minister reports reduction in undeclared work
Cypriot Minister of Labor and Social Insurance Marinos Mousiouttas announced that undeclared work in Cyprus has decreased from 15% in 2016 to 5% in 2026. The announcement was made during a two-day conference in Larnaca focused on addressing undeclared work and promoting fair labor mobility in Europe. The event is organized by the Cypriot Ministry of Labor and the European Labour Authority. It marks the 10th anniversary of the European Platform Tackling Undeclared Work. Minister Mousiouttas highlighted Cyprus's active participation and commitment to the platform since its inception in 2016. He emphasized the importance of coordinated European action for ensuring fair competition and worker rights. The conference continues the dialogue on European labor policies and social cohesion strategies.
