Kuwait arrests four individuals linked to Iran's Revolutionary Guards
On May 12, 2026, the Kuwaiti Interior Ministry reported the arrest of four men suspected of being members of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Authorities stated the individuals attempted to infiltrate Bubiyan Island via a fishing vessel to carry out hostile acts. During a confrontation with Kuwaiti security forces, one Kuwaiti soldier was injured. The authorities claim the suspects confessed during interrogation that they were acting under orders from the IRGC. Two additional individuals involved in the operation reportedly managed to escape.
