27-year-old woman arrested for car theft in Paphos

On May 13, 2026, police officers from the Paphos OPE unit arrested a 27-year-old woman in connection with the theft of a vehicle reported on May 12, 2026. Authorities had previously issued an arrest warrant for the suspect based on evidence collected during the investigation. Shortly after midnight on May 13, police spotted the woman entering the stolen car. Upon being approached by officers, the suspect exited the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. Officers successfully intercepted and detained her. During the arrest, the woman allegedly resisted police efforts. She has been placed in custody, and the Paphos Criminal Investigation Department (TAE) is continuing the investigation into the case.
