Police launch search after reported child abduction in Limassol
Law enforcement agencies in Limassol have launched a search operation following a complaint filed by a mother regarding the abduction of her minor child. According to police, the suspect is the child's Turkish Cypriot father, who allegedly entered the government-controlled areas illegally from the occupied north on Tuesday morning. The man, who has reportedly been linked to drug trafficking cases and was included on a police stop list, proceeded to the mother's residence in the Limassol district. He allegedly took the child and disappeared toward an unknown destination. The mother stated that she had previously expressed concerns regarding her safety and had sent a letter to the Chief of Police requesting intervention. Authorities are currently conducting extensive enquiries to locate both the father and the child. No information regarding the child's exact age or the father's specific location has been released at this time.
