Nea Salamis announces first signing and squad changes

Nea Salamina Famagusta has officially signed 29-year-old French winger Samuel Grandsir. The contract is for one year with an option to extend for an additional season. Grandsir arrives with experience from Ligue 1, having played 110 matches for clubs including Monaco, Le Havre, Brest, Strasbourg, and Troyes, as well as a spell with LA Galaxy. Simultaneously, the club announced the departure of three players: Konstantinos Kastanas, Dimitris Kyprianou, and Alexis Theocharous. The club is currently working to finalize its budget for the upcoming season, with leadership aiming for a 10% increase compared to 2024-2025. Technical director Neophytos Larkou is managing recruitment efforts while the club also works on contract extensions for other existing players. These moves follow the club's successful promotion to the Cyprus League. Financial sustainability remains a primary focus, with management seeking sponsors and fan support to remain competitive in the top flight.
