Nea Salamis announces squad changes and new signing
Nea Salamis Famagusta has officially announced its first transfer of the season with the acquisition of 29-year-old French winger Samuel Grandsir on a one-year deal with an option for an additional year. Additionally, the club signed a one-year professional contract with 17-year-old central defender Kyriakos Egkomitis, including an option to extend until 2029. Forward Savvas Kontopoulos has also had his contract renewed for another year, with the club retaining an option to keep him until 2029. Regarding departures, the club confirmed the conclusion of the loan spells for Giorgos Pavlidis and Konstantinos Anthimos, who returned to Anorthosis and Omonia Aradippou, respectively. Furthermore, the club parted ways with players Konstantinos Kastanas, Dimitris Kyprianou, and Alexis Theocharous. Nea Salamis is currently seeking to increase its budget by 10% compared to the 2024-2025 season to remain competitive in the first division. These updates were formalized by the club's board and planning committee on May 15, 2026.
