Conan O'Brien to host the 99th Academy Awards in 2027
The American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has officially announced that comedian Conan O'Brien will return to host the 99th Academy Awards. This marks his third consecutive year as the host of the ceremony. Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan are confirmed to return as executive producers for their fourth consecutive year. The event is scheduled to take place on March 14, 2027, at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. The ceremony will be broadcast live on ABC and Hulu. Reports indicate that this will be one of the final ceremonies held at the Dolby Theatre before the event moves to a new venue starting in 2029. During last year's ceremony, O'Brien humorously remarked about his role, noting the increasing presence of technology in future ceremonies.
