Andreas Chasapopoulos files complaint against Odysseas Michaelides for alleged perjury
Andreas Chasapopoulos has filed a formal complaint with the Police Chief and the Attorney General accusing former Auditor-General Odysseas Michaelides of perjury. The complaint pertains to testimony given by Michaelides before the Supreme Constitutional Court regarding his relationship with a Facebook support group. While Michaelides testified that he had no role in managing or controlling the group, Chasapopoulos claims to possess evidence of systematic communication, including instances where Michaelides allegedly sent content via WhatsApp for publication. Michaelides has denied these allegations, labeling them a politically motivated character assassination attempt linked to Chasapopoulos being excluded from the ALMA movement's parliamentary candidate list. The Legal Service has referred the matter to the police, who have confirmed receipt of the complaint and intend to contact the complainant for further details. Chasapopoulos maintains that he has evidence to support his claims, while Michaelides continues to refer to his past public statements and court testimony as the truth.
