Cypronetwork presents new political typology study for Cyprus
On May 13, the Cypronetwork group officially presented a new study titled "Cyprus Political Typology" (CPT) at the Journalist House. The research identifies seven distinct clusters of Cypriot voters, categorizing the electorate based on personal values, attitudes, and beliefs rather than traditional party affiliations. Government Spokesman Konstantinos Letymbiotis, along with party representatives, academics, and journalists, attended the event. The study was funded by the Research and Innovation Foundation. During his address, Letymbiotis emphasized that such tools are essential for strengthening democratic resilience and understanding societal needs. He stated that the data should serve as a basis for informed policy-making rather than as a tool for manipulation. The analysis aims to move beyond the traditional Left-Right spectrum to explain modern political behaviors and voter disengagement. Letymbiotis underscored that innovation in this context is vital for the health of the democratic process.
