President Christodoulides meets with Maronite community delegation

President Nikos Christodoulides met with a delegation of the Maronite community at the Presidential Palace to discuss issues affecting the group. The delegation was led by Yiannakis Mousas, the outgoing Maronite representative in the House of Representatives, who completed two terms in office. During the meeting, the Maronite community awarded the President with the 'Golden Cedar' honorary distinction in recognition of his support. Christodoulides highlighted several government initiatives implemented since March, including the reopening of a kindergarten after 25 years and adjustments to resettlement plans. Other mentioned support efforts included providing compensation for flood damage in Kormakitis and various church-related projects. The President attributed the progress made to the consistent collaboration between the government and Mousas. The meeting concluded with the President expressing his appreciation for the community’s contribution to Cyprus.
