Cypriot Football Association disciplinary rulings and Futsal championship outcome
The Disciplinary Judge of the Cyprus Football Association, Aristotelis Vryonidis, issued several sanctions following recent matches. Christoforos Loizias of P.O. Ormideia was suspended for two matches and fined for insulting behavior toward referee Polyvios Antoniou after the 2025-2026 Cup final on April 29, 2026. Dimitris Patsalos of Omonia Aradippou received a fine for inappropriate conduct and protesting during a championship match against Olympiakos Nicosia on May 1, 2026. APOEL Nicosia faced multiple fines for fan misconduct, including the possession and use of pyrotechnics and throwing objects toward the assistant referee. Separately, AEL Limassol was penalized for a 10-minute match delay caused by fans throwing paper and water, as well as a temporary match suspension in the first half. Meanwhile, APOEL has been officially declared the 2025/26 Futsal league champion.
