KOP disciplinary committee sanctions AEL and awards victory to APOEL in futsal final

The sports judge of the Cyprus Football Association (KOP), Aristotelis Vryonidis, issued a ruling regarding the interrupted men's futsal final between AEL Limassol and APOEL Nicosia held on May 7, 2026. The match has been officially awarded to APOEL with a score of 4–0. Additionally, AEL has been ordered to play three home matches behind closed doors and must pay a fine. The disciplinary action against AEL follows reports of fan behavior that caused a 10-minute delay at the start of the match and a temporary stoppage during the first half. These events included supporters throwing objects such as paper and liquids onto the field. As a consequence of this decision, APOEL has been confirmed as the official champion of the 2025–2026 futsal season.
