DIPA leader Marios Garoyian addresses final pre-election rally
During the final pre-election rally held at Ktima Kousioumi, the President of the Democratic Alignment (DIPA), Marios Garoyian, addressed supporters ahead of the parliamentary elections scheduled for May 24. Garoyian described the current state of the nation as a deep, multi-layered institutional crisis, which he likened to a modern Babylon. He criticized the lack of consensus, substantial dialogue, and responsibility, warning that public mistrust in institutions could lead to dangerous destabilization. Addressing opinion polls that suggest low support for his party, he noted that DIPA has previously performed as an election surprise. The leader asserted that his party is a strong, patriotic, and authentic center force. He urged voters to move responsibly toward the election, framing the vote as a critical opportunity to avoid chaos. Garoyian concluded by stating that a strong parliamentary presence for DIPA would allow the party to help rewrite the political history of the country.
