Police officer rescues family from house fire in Tennessee

On May 1, a police officer identified as Rogers rescued a mother and her two children from a burning house on Cranberry Street in Hixson, Tennessee. The officer arrived at the scene and entered the residence after neighbors alerted him that people were trapped inside. Body camera footage captured Rogers breaking down the door and navigating through smoke and flames to retrieve the individuals. The officer successfully evacuated the children, including a young girl named Marlowe, and handed them to bystanders. Neighbor Ebony Cox, who heard the residents screaming, witnessed the intervention. Although residents expressed gratitude for his actions, Rogers reportedly downplayed the event as a routine part of his job. No injuries were reported among the family members or the officer during the rescue operation.
