Authorities seize over four kilograms of cannabis at Larnaca Airport
The Cyprus Drug Law Enforcement Unit (YKAN), in coordination with Customs Authorities, recently discovered a suspicious parcel at Larnaca Airport. The package, which originated from a third country, was intercepted during a routine customs inspection. Upon examination, officials confirmed the contents to be cannabis with a total gross weight of 4,434 grams. While some local media reports estimated the quantity at approximately 4.5 kilograms, official police data specifies the weight at 4.434 kilograms. The narcotics have been seized for further forensic examination. The YKAN has launched an investigation to identify the intended recipient and the final destination of the illegal shipment. No arrests have been announced as the investigation continues.
