Former Hollywood producer sentenced for role in Matthew Perry's death

On Wednesday, former Hollywood producer Erik Fleming was sentenced to two years in prison for his role in the illegal supply of ketamine that led to the death of actor Matthew Perry. In August 2024, Fleming pleaded guilty to acting as a middleman, facilitating the delivery of 50 vials of ketamine to Perry’s personal assistant. Perry, 54, was found dead in his hot tub in October 2023 due to the effects of the powerful sedative. While Perry had been undergoing medically supervised ketamine therapy for depression, the fatal doses were illicitly obtained. Investigations revealed that Fleming sourced the drugs from Jasveen Sangha, known as the 'ketamine queen,' who allegedly instructed Fleming to delete their communications after Perry's death. Sangha faces separate legal proceedings regarding her distribution activities. This case highlights the dangerous network involved in the actor's supply of illicit substances.
