Ministry of Defence announces 2026 conscription medical screening and equipment issuance

The Cyprus Ministry of Defence has announced the schedule for medical examinations and the issuance of clothing and equipment for 2026 conscripts. The process will take place in two phases: May 18-22, 2026, and May 25-28, 2026, operating daily from 07:00 to 11:00 according to the designated distribution list. Conscripts must bring a valid identity card, digital ID via the 'Digital Citizen' app, or an official document proving their identity. Candidates are also required to provide their electronic or physical call-up notice obtained through the 'e-katataxi' service or a military office. Those lacking a call-up notice are instructed to contact their local military recruitment office immediately. Additionally, attendees must present medical reports detailing any existing health conditions to determine their fitness for military service. Finally, those who have not already submitted their bank account details via the online platform must provide a bank statement with their IBAN.
