Iranian Foreign Minister accuses UAE of collusion with Israel and the US
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has formally accused the United Arab Emirates of acting as an active partner to the US and Israel in ongoing military hostilities against Iran. The accusations followed a report from the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claiming he visited the UAE during the conflict to meet with President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. While the UAE has denied the occurrence of this meeting, Araghchi stated that Iranian security services had prior intelligence regarding such contact. Araghchi asserted that the UAE's failure to condemn attacks against Iran since February 28 confirms their direct or indirect participation in regional aggression. Speaking from a BRICS summit in India, the Iranian minister warned that those conspiring with Israel against Iranian interests will be held accountable. The diplomatic rhetoric marks a significant escalation in tensions between Tehran and Abu Dhabi. Iranian authorities allege that the regional states are collaborating to foster discord, a charge that the UAE authorities have effectively dismissed by denying the reported secret visit.
